Improv to Acting Session 1

Class starting Monday, January 20, 2025 for ages 9 to 13

 

This class is for students who are new to Improv and acting. This class will introduce improv and acting techniques through improv games and acting excercises. We focus on acting techniques for film and tv. Through the practice of improv, students will also learn to trust their instincts while using their imagination and creativity. 

Students will also learn:
  • Character development: How to create a character and understand scripts 
  • Presentation skills: How to deliver lines on camera or participate in group discussions  
  • Confidence: How to gain the confidence needed to excel in auditions and performances 
  • Public speaking skills: How to engage with an audience through emotional expression, effective voice control, clear articulation, confident body language.

 

This course is a 10 week session.
